Post-Graduate Year 1 Rotations

Your first post-graduate year, you’ll build a solid foundation through hands-on experience.

  • 8 weeks — Outpatient Office (Lexington Family Medicine)
  • 12 weeks — Family Medicine Inpatient Teaching Service
  • 4 weeks — Family Medicine Night Float
  • 4 weeks — Emergency Medicine
  • 4 weeks — Ambulatory Pediatrics
  • 4 weeks — Surgery
  • 4 weeks — Women's Health & Newborn Nursery
  • 4 weeks — Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
  • 4 weeks — Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • 4 weeks — Electives

Longitudinal Curriculum

Post-Graduate Year 2 Rotations

Your second post-graduate year will help you move from learner to experienced resident.

  • 12 weeks — Outpatient Office (Lexington Family Medicine and Rural)
  • 8 weeks — Family Medicine Inpatient Teaching Service
  • 4 weeks — Night Float
  • 4 weeks — Geriatrics
  • 4 weeks — Inpatient Pediatrics (Prisma)
  • 4 weeks — Women's Health & Newborn Nursery
  • 4 weeks — Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • 4 weeks — Medical Specialties
  • 8 weeks — Electives

Longitudinal Curriculum

Your third post-graduate year will prepare you to graduate and become an independent clinician.
