A Source of Strength
Faith can be a source of strength during times of need. We believe the healing process is greatly enhanced by meeting the spiritual needs of patients and also recognize that patients’ friends and relatives, as well as our own employees, can benefit from spiritual support and encouragement.
Respect for All Faiths & Beliefs
Our chaplains respect and accommodate persons of all faiths and beliefs. At your request, a chaplain is available to visit with you, to notify your spiritual leader or place of worship that you are a patient or to arrange a visit with your personal minister, priest, rabbi, imam or leader. We can link you with clergy fluent in Spanish and Korean.
Holy Communion & Other Rites
Catholic Eucharistic ministers from area churches come to Lexington Medical Center several times a week to distribute Holy Communion to Catholic patients. Your faith’s sacraments or rites are also available upon request.
Prayer Requests
A book is provided for written prayer requests. Chaplains respond to prayer requests by praying in the chapel or visiting in the room with the patient and family. PrayerNotes, donated by the LMC Auxiliary, and Daily Bread are available for you to take with you.
Prayer Chapel
Our Prayer Chapel, located on the first floor of the South Tower near the lobby, is open 24 hours a day for patients and visitors to pray and meditate.
