A Call to Serve
Join our fellowship of more than 70 associate chaplains who have responded to the call to serve and tend to the spiritual needs of patients at Lexington Medical Center. The team respects people of all faiths and includes chaplains from many denominations.
Chaplains make initial contact with new patients and are available for follow-up visits to listen, comfort, pray, administer sacraments and provide crisis ministry.

Qualifications for Service
- Ability to minister to others in an institutional setting
- Ability to provide caring interactions within an ecumenical setting
- Collegiate or seminary theological education, clinical pastoral education or similar training
- Commitment to be “on call” at least eight hours per month
- Meet health and safety requirements
- Ordination or official recognition as a spiritual leader
- Participate in 120-day trial period
