Taking Your Newborn Home

An important part of our job is to help you return home as quickly and safely as possible.

Release Process

Identify a pediatrician.

Your pediatrician will need to examine your baby and give his or her okay for you to go home.

Find a Pediatrician

Get the okay from your medical team.

With a thumbs-up from your medical team (doctor or pediatrician), you can begin life as a family at home.

Sign your discharge and follow-up instruction sheet.

Your nurse will share this information with you before you leave the hospital. You'll be asked to sign your discharge sheet and we'll give you a copy for you to use as reference.
