What to Expect
Your doctor will begin by assessing your injury or injuries one by one and will customize the best course of treatment for you.
Our goal is to get our athletic injury patients back to optimal performance as soon as possible.
Common Sports Injury
- Shoulder Dislocation or Instability
- Rotator Cuff Tendon Tears
- Injury to Knee Ligaments
Treating Sports Injuries
Your treatment will depend on the type and severity of your injury.
Non-Operative Treatments
Some sports injuries will respond to non-operative treatment such as:
- Medication
- Immobilization (cast, sling or walking boot)
If you do need an operation, the most common type is minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery.
New Treatments
Our doctors have been on the cutting edge of orthopaedic treatment for 20 years and work to bring in new effective techniques for patients.
Arthroscopic Surgery
Your doctor will examine and repair your injury through a small, minimally invasive incision in the affected joint. This type of surgery is used to repair tendons, reconstruct ligaments and stabilize the body's support structures.
