Non-Surgical Weight Management
Non-Surgical Weight Management is a Lexington Medical Center program with one main goal: to give you the tools you need to lose weight and keep it off.
Obesity is complex, and overcoming it requires more than just diet and exercise. Thought patterns, behaviors, genetics, environmental factors and hormones all play a role.
Our non-surgical weight-loss team, which includes a medical director, nurse, dietitian, clinical social worker and exercise physiologist, works alongside your primary care provider to help you become the healthiest version of yourself.
Non-Surgical Weight Management at Lexington Medical Center differs from other currently available programs because it doesn’t solely focus on food.
Nutritional Counseling
Our registered dietitian is with you every step of the way as you begin your new lifestyle. Together, you will create a plan that addresses your weight and health goals and adapts to your preferences, cultural eating limitations, food allergies and other considerations.
Emotional Well-being
Losing weight can be overwhelming. Research shows a link between certain mental health conditions, emotional issues and obesity. Our clinical social worker will work with you to identify, discuss and manage stressors that may affect your life.
Exercise and Fitness
If you intentionally move your body, you become stronger physically and mentally. As part of this program, you will learn about different types of exercise, how to incorporate activity into your daily life and set realistic goals, and recognize limitations to avoid injury. Use this information to help you create your own fitness plan. It’s important to remember that everyone is different, and what works for one person may not work for you.
We look forward to helping you find a non-surgical weight-loss option that best fits you and your journey.
