Dr. Melsom graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of South Carolina in Columbia and earned her medical degree from the USC School of Medicine in Columbia. She then completed her family medicine residency at Northside Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Melsom is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with additional certification in basic life support. She has extensive experience treating acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages and works with her patients to educate them on disease prevention and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health. She recently provided care at Prisma Health Family Medicine in Lexington, South Carolina.
