Dr. Walker graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and earned her medical degree at Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed a family medicine residency at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa.
Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Walker is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. She has more than 17 years of experience caring for musculoskeletal issues including sports-related injuries, overuse injuries, fractures and arthritis. Dr. Walker recently served as a primary care sports medicine physician at Integrated Medical Services Sports Medicine in the Phoenix area of Arizona. She has also served as a team physician and provided team and event coverage for all sports, including high school and college football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and lacrosse, as well as Ironman® World Championships, marathons and martial arts competitions.
