Dr. Smith graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Virginia University in Morgantown. She then completed her medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg and her obstetrics and gynecology residency at West Virginia University in Charleston, serving as chief resident.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Smith has more than 10 years of experience caring for women at all stages of their lives. She’s a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology with additional training in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery. Dr. Smith recently served as an attending physician at Washington Hospital in Washington, Pennsylvania, where she established a successful inpatient, outpatient and surgical gynecology practice. While there, she also served as a member of its Medical Executive Board, on the Credentialing Committee and as clinical teaching faculty.
