Dr. Mullen graduated with her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, serving as chief resident. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she is an American College of Physicians Fellow and a member of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Society for General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Mullen has more than 15 years of patient care, mentorship and medical education experience. She recently served as program director and chair for the Cone Health Internal Medicine Residency Program affiliated with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a clinical assistant professor there. At Cone Health, she participated in improvement committees for length of stay and teaching services.
Dr. Mullen also served as coordinator and content creator for the American College of Physicians Doctor’s Dilemma and Student Doctor’s Dilemma for North Carolina. In addition to these roles, she volunteered on the Planning Committee for the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine Program and the Society for General Internal Medicine Annual Meeting Program Committee as pre-courses chair.
