Dr. LaPorte graduated from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania with bachelor’s degrees in biology and history. He then earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Following a medical internship at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, Dr. LaPorte completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he also practiced as a fellow in chronic and acute pain management.
Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners, he is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the South Carolina Medical Association and the South Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists.
