Dr. Monis earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in North Chicago, Illinois. She went on to complete residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in New York and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago.
Board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Dr. Monis is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She has more than 30 years of direct patient care experience in a variety of clinical settings and more than 10 years of expertise in podiatric medicine, providing comprehensive care in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of disease and injuries to the foot and ankle. Dr. Monis specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, and lower extremity wounds. She most recently cared for patients at Thomas Podiatry & Associates in Salisbury, Maryland, and served as chief of Podiatry at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.
