Bio

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, Dr. Richards earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident. She also earned a master’s degree in health care administration from Capella University, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management, Dr. Richards is an American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Fellow and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Professional Wound Care Association and the Eastern Orthopaedic Association. She has nearly 20 years of expertise in medical and surgical podiatry, as well as wound care, and has traveled internationally to educate athletes, coaches, physiotherapists and colleagues on injury prevention. Dr. Richards also serves as a podiatric medical advisor for U.S. Soccer and as an ambassador for Spirit of Football, promoting equality and equal pay for female soccer players. She most recently provided comprehensive foot and ankle care at Richards Orthopaedic Center & Sports Medicine – University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and treated patients at Chambersburg Hospital Wound Care Center in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
