Bio

A graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, Dr. Frier earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, and completed her internal medicine residency at Prisma Health Midlands in Columbia, South Carolina. She then completed her pulmonary and critical care fellowship there.

Dr. Frier is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Physicians. She has extensive experience in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of pulmonary diseases and conditions, as well as the diagnosis, management and prevention of complications in patients who are severely ill and may require intensive monitoring. She also has additional training in point-of-care ultrasound. During her fellowship, she cared for pulmonary and critically ill inpatients at Prisma Health Midlands and helped establish an advanced airway rotation for the program.

Dr. Frier joins the team of board-certified physicians at Lexington Critical Care to provide comprehensive critical care to inpatients at Lexington Medical Center. These specially trained physicians reflect the hospital’s commitment to offering advanced medicine and compassionate care to patients while they are in the hospital.
