Dr. Murbach graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. She then completed a family medicine residency with the Fort Wayne Medical Education Residency Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Murbach is a member of the National Graduate Medical Education Committee and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. She has nearly 30 years of expertise in providing comprehensive primary care, including gynecologic and obstetric services, to patients of all ages. Her career includes more than 15 years of training and overseeing medical students and resident physicians, serving as a designated institutional official, a fellowship director, a program director and an associate program director; leading lectures and seminars; and supervising clinical rotations.
Dr. Murbach most recently served as an associate professor at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia, program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial Satilla Medical Center in Waycross, Georgia, and associate program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at HCA Mercer/Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. She also served as director of its Family Medicine Rural Training tracts and fellowship director of the Family Medicine/Obstetrics fellowship.
Dr. Murbach proudly joins the experienced faculty in Lexington Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education program to provide comprehensive training to family medicine and transitional year resident physicians.
