Bio

Dr. Pallay earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated from Northwestern University Medicine School in Chicago with his medical degree. He then completed a family medicine residency at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey.

With nearly 50 years of expertise in family medicine, Dr. Pallay has extensive experience training medical students and resident physicians to provide comprehensive primary care to adults and children of all ages. His peers have recognized his exemplary service and commitment to clinical excellence with awards from the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and the Gold Humanism Honor Society of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, he is an American Academy of Family Physicians Fellow, having served on numerous committees throughout his career, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American College of Sports Medicine and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He has also co-authored several publications and has an interest in clinical research.

Dr. Pallay most recently served as a professor and chair of the Mercer University School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine in Savannah Georgia. He also founded its Family Medicine Accelerated Curriculum Track, which then transitioned to its Primary Care Accelerated Curriculum Tract, serving as the program’s first director. During this time, he concurrently served as program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial University Center in Savannah, Georgia.

Dr. Pallay proudly joins the experienced faculty in Lexington Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education program to provide comprehensive training to family medicine and transitional year resident physicians.
