Kyle W. Sherwood, MD, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemical and life science engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. He then completed his emergency medicine residency at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Sherwood has more than 10 years of experience practicing emergency care in a variety of settings, including trauma centers, stroke centers and freestanding emergency rooms. He recently cared for patients at the Cardiac/Stroke Center and Level II trauma center at The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, Texas, and provided routine and emergency care for Apache Squadron in austere and clinical environments as a Major in the United States Army.
