Bio

Dr. Shah earned his bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed a general surgery residency and cardiovascular surgery research fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Shah went on to complete a cardiovascular and thoracic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, and a robotic and minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Illinois.

Dr. Shah is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. With nearly 20 years of experience, he specializes in providing minimally invasive and robotic surgical treatment of cardiovascular and thoracic diseases and conditions. Dr. Shah recently served as director of Cardiac Surgery at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina. Prior to this role, he was chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Charles George Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina, and director of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
