Dr. Mazza graduated with his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and earned his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland Faculty of Medicine in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. He then completed a general surgery residency at Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, serving as chief resident, and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Board certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Mazza has more than 17 years of experience in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of colorectal conditions. He most recently cared for patients at UPMC Pinnacle Colon and Rectal Surgery in Harrisburg, providing comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical treatment for acute and chronic conditions of the colon, rectum and anus. He also served the Medical Executive Committee as bylaws chair, the Robotic Surgery Steering Committee and the Surgical Quality Assurance Committee while at UPMC Pinnacle.
Dr. Mazza joins Lexington Medical Center’s network of care at Lexington Surgery to provide comprehensive care in the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal and colorectal conditions.
