Dr. Spittler attended Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana, where she studied biology and chemistry. She completed her Doctor of Optometry at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus. She then trained at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Eye Clinic in Huntington, West Virginia, and The Ohio State University Student Health Eye Clinic in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases.
Dr. Spittler specializes in primary care optometry and has a special interest in ocular disease management and contact lenses. She has more than 25 years of experience treating patients 7 years of age and older who have vision problems and need correction with glasses or contact lenses. She also has extensive experience in co-managing postoperative cataract care, providing ocular urgent care and treating glaucoma patients.
A diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, Dr. Spittler is a member of the South Carolina Optometric Physician Association and previously served on its board of directors. She is a past president of the Midlands Optometric Society and has been a member of the American Optometric Association for more than 30 years.
Dr. Spittler joins Lexington Medical Eye Care Associates, the newest physician practice in Lexington Medical Center’s network of care, to provide comprehensive optometric care. The experienced team at this practice uses the latest technology to diagnose and treat eye conditions and disorders.
