A summa cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, Dr. Truesdale earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia, graduating as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society. She then completed her family medicine residency at East Tennessee State University in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Dr. Truesdale is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has additional certifications in advanced cardiac and basic life support, Nexplanon® insertion, and Department of Transportation medical examinations. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association. She has more than 10 years of experience providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, most recently at Harrison Health Partners Primary Care Clinic in Belfair, Washington.
Dr. Truesdale joins the board-certified physicians and advanced practice providers at Lexington Family Practice Irmo to provide quality medical care to patients from birth to geriatrics in a patient-focused environment. In addition to well visits and same-day sick and urgent appointments, the practice offers in-office laboratory services and echocardiograms, as well as a Coumadin® clinic.
