Dr. McNichols graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. After completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital in New York, he completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Dr. McNichols specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease as well as congenital and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
