Dr. McCoy graduated summa cum laude from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in biology and earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. She then completed her family medicine residency at McLeod Health in Florence, South Carolina, gaining experience in intensive care, geriatrics, obstetrics and pediatrics.
While completing her clinical training at McLeod Health, Dr. McCoy served on its Family Medicine Residency Program Evaluation and Graduate Medical Education committees, as well as the Quality Operations Committee and the Optimizing Physician Engagement in Continuing Education Quality Improvement Committee at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians.
