Jacob Wayland, MD, graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science. He graduated with distinction his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Dr. Wayland completed his residency in emergency medicine at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina, with subspecialties in global health and ultrasound.
Prior to joining Lexington Medical Center, Dr. Wayland worked as an emergency medicine physician at McLeod Health Cheraw and Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Dr. Wayland is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association and the American Medical Association.
