A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Lauren A. Castleberry, MD, FACOG, earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, serving as chief resident. She also received numerous awards and honors during her residency, including Intern of the Year, Resident Teaching awards and a clinical skills award.
Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with additional certification in gynecologic ultrasound interpretation, Dr. Castleberry is an American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellow and a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine. She has experience providing general obstetric and gynecologic services ranging from outpatient care and surgery to routine visits and complicated consultations.
Dr. Castleberry most recently served as assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, supervising residents as they provide inpatient and outpatient care. In addition to this role, she provided gynecologic care for HIV patients at the USC School of Medicine Immunology Center. Her interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, obstetrics and preventive care.
