Dr. Chapman graduated with honors from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He earned his medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois, serving as president of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in his senior year. He went on to complete general surgery and urology residencies at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, and a urologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Chapman is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, and the South Carolina Urological Association. He is also a member of the Society of Urologic Oncology. Dr. Chapman has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancer, including expertise in laparoscopic kidney surgery and robotic prostatectomy using the da Vinci Robot. He is the most experienced urologic robotic surgeon in the Midlands.
Dr. Chapman previously served as president of Columbia Urological Associates and provided comprehensive urologic care to patients in the Midlands at the practice. He has nearly 20 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating urologic conditions and disorders.
Dr. Chapman proudly joins Lexington Medical Center as director of Urologic Oncology and the board-certified physicians at Lexington Urology to provide comprehensive urologic care and advanced treatments for urologic conditions, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery. As the newest physician practice in the Lexington Medical Center Network of Care, Lexington Urology combines the most advanced medicine and state-of-the-art technology with compassionate care to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
