A Columbia, South Carolina native, Kenya Cooper, MD, earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She then completed her residency at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina, where she served as co-chief resident.
In addition to completing her family medicine residency, Dr. Cooper has been evaluating and treating patients at Self Regional Healthcare’s emergency care center and urgent care clinic and volunteering at the Greater Greenwood United Ministry’s Free Medical Clinic. She also achieved certifications in advanced cardiovascular life support, advanced life support in obstetrics, fundamental critical care support, neonatal resuscitation and pediatric advanced life support.
