Katherine T. Ostapoff, MD, graduated magna cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta. She earned her medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and completed her general surgery internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Ostapoff went on to complete a research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Hamon Center for Therapeutic Oncology Research in Dallas and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute for Complex Surgical Oncology.
Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Ostapoff has advanced training in laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques. She is a member of the American Association of Cancer Research, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association and Association of Academic Surgeons. Dr. Ostapoff most recently provided comprehensive surgical oncology care to patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York, the nation’s first cancer center, and at the University of Rochester Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York.
