Brandon C. Drafts, MD, FACC, FSCAI is a West Columbia, South Carolina native and a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in biology. After earning a master’s degree in biomedical science from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, he graduated cum laude with his medical degree from USC’s School of Medicine. Dr. Drafts completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He went on to complete a cardiovascular disease fellowship, serving as chief fellow, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Wake Forest.
Board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Drafts’ interests include transradial coronary angiography and intervention, short-term mechanical circulatory support and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He has also published research in the areas of interventional cardiology, heart failure and cardiovascular imaging.
