A graduate of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Cherisse J. Thomas, MD, completed the Medical Science Program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania — Hahnemann University in Philadelphia before earning her medical degree from East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. She then completed her internal medicine and pediatrics residency there.
Dr. Thomas is an American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow, and a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics, she is also certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
Dr. Thomas most recently provided inpatient care as a hospitalist at Novant Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
