Sarah S. Cottingham, MD, graduated cum laude from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in business management, and earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She went on to complete a family medicine residency at MUSC, serving as chief resident.
Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with additional certifications in advanced cardiac and basic life support, Dr. Cottingham is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the South Carolina Medical Association. She has more than 10 years of experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of pediatric and adult illnesses. Dr. Cottingham also has supplementary training in intensive care and hospital-based medicine.
