Dr. Dedmond is one of the only four fellowship-trained orthopaedic traumatologists in the Columbia area. His area of practice focuses on major and minor trauma, specializing in all aspects of fracture care, including the most modern and minimally invasive surgery techniques.
Dr. Dedmond and his wife live in Ballentine and have three children. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he is an avid Tar Heel fan. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Palmetto Health Richland, where he was named most outstanding resident among all specialties. His research has been published in the most respected orthopaedic journals, including the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Why did he choose to become a physician? “A desire to help people. Every patient is special and deserves to be treated with respect, no matter how busy we are. Providing expert orthopaedic care in a timely fashion with a genuine concern and respect for patients is what Lexington Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is all about.
