Dr. Korrapati completed her undergraduate studies and earned her MD at Guntur Medical College in India, graduating in the top five percent of the class earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1992. She served her Internship and Residence at the Richland Memorial Hospital, Dorn Veteran Hospital and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine from 1995 to 1998. Following her Internship, Dr. Korrapati served her Fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Scott & White Hospital, Texas A&M, and University Health Sciences Center in Temple, Texas from 1998 to 2000.
Dr. Korrapati was Assistant Professor with the University of South Carolina for 6 and a half years prior to joining the staff of Lexington Oncology in 2007.
Dr. Korrapati is a certified member of the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners, and holds certifications as a Diplomat of Medical Oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Diplomat in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is a current member of a variety of medical societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
