Dr. Dacus graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He then completed his family medicine residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia.
Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Dacus has more than 35 years of experience caring for patients of all ages. He is a member of the South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians and the Lexington Medical Association and is certified in advanced cardiac life support. With a focus on combining high-tech modern medicine with personal, individualized care, he most recently practiced at Lexington Family Practice Lexington in Lexington, South Carolina, and served as its laboratory director.
Dr. Dacus joins the highly skilled staff at Lexington Family Practice Old Cherokee, a new Lexington Medical Center physician practice, to provide continuing, comprehensive care to patients from birth to geriatrics. In addition to well visits and same-day sick appointments, this practice offers on-site X-rays and laboratory services.
