West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome Bethany C. Bray, MD, to the hospital’s network of care. Dr. Bray joins Lexington Medical Eye Care Associates, the newest physician practice in Lexington Medical Center’s network of care, to provide comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmologic care. The experienced team at this practice uses the latest technology to diagnose and treat eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy and refractive errors.
Dr. Bray has more than 17 years of experience diagnosing and treating eye disorders. Most recently, she served as an ophthalmologist and ophthalmic technician supervisor at WJB Dorn Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia. She is also a clinical assistant professor of Ophthalmology at the USC School of Medicine and was the program director of its ophthalmology residency program for five years.
Dr. Bray is a native of West Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated from Boston University in Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in human physiology and graduated cum laude with her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at Palmetto Health/USC School of Medicine in Columbia.
Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Bray is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Her interests include cataract extraction with premium intraocular lens implantation; medical management of ocular surface disease; and medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma.
