West Columbia, S.C. – What do oncology, rheumatology, OB/GYN and cardiology have in common? They’re all specialties that will be represented at “Speaking of Women’s Health,” a free lecture at Lexington Medical Center on Monday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m.
Lecture attendees can talk with board-certified physicians about cancer care, bone and joint pain, obstetrics, gynecology, and heart health. The doctors will also answer questions from a moderator about pertinent health topics that are related to their specialty. Topics will include screening guidelines, advances in cardiovascular and cancer care technology, arthritis, prenatal care, menopause, lung cancer and more.
The physicians at the lecture will be Michael C. Roberts, MD, of Lexington Cardiology; Janie “Kaki” Bruce, MD, of Lexington Rheumatology; Jaime Brown Price, MD, of Lexington Women’s Care; E. Myron Barwick, MD, of Lexington Surgical Associates and Chelsea R. Stillwell, MD, of Lexington Oncology.
The lecture will take place in the Lexington Medical Park 1 Auditorium at 2728 Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia on the Lexington Medical Center campus. The event is free to the public. On April 28, Dr. Melanie Seybt of Lexington ENT & Allergy will present a lecture called “Advances in Surgical Management of Thyroid Disease.” And, on May 19, Dr. Robert Leonardi of Lexington Cardiology will speak about transcatheter aortic valve replacement, known as TAVR.
