West Columbia, S.C. – Lexington Medical Center is pleased to welcome Nichole McDonald, MD to the hospital’s network of care. Dr. McDonald will practice obstetrics and gynecology at Lexington Women’s Care, a Lexington Medical Center physician practice. She will be based out of the physician practice’s office in Irmo.
“Being an OB/GYN gives you an incredible opportunity to be a part of a woman’s life from her teenage years through childbearing and beyond,” Dr. McDonald said. “I think it’s important to educate patients so that they can make the best decisions about their health and be active participants in their care.”
A West Columbia native, Dr. McDonald has a special interest in adolescent and pediatric gynecology, contraception, prevention of sexually transmitted infections and laparoscopic surgery. She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Dr. McDonald is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, where she received the “Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology” award.
