Identifying Priorities

Lexington Medical Center and MUSC Health, in collaboration with Alliance for a Healthier SC, South Carolina Hospital Association and SC DHEC, have launched a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) this summer to learn how to best serve our shared community.

Ongoing Assessment
According to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, all tax-exempt hospitals must conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years. Accurate community health information is essential to identify and prioritize health needs in a particular geographic location.
