  • Apprenticeship Training Program
    Take your certification a step further. You will receive 16 hours of practice with a master trainer to teach you the "hands-on" practical skills of teaching a group fitness class. 791-2772.

  • Nutritional Analysis/Body Composition Analysis
    Analyze your current diet and discuss suggested improvements with a health professional. Also includes a detailed report of your percentage of fat and lean tissue with weight management recommendations. Cost $50.

  • Beyond Birth: Postpartum Doula Service

  • Birth Partner: Labor Doula
    Guiding the birthing mother and her family through the birth process. 791-BABY (2229)  

  • Your Special Delivery       
    REGISTER ON-LINE
    A four-session class designed to prepare you for the childbirth experience. Meets once a week for four weeks. Class space is limited, call 791-2318 to register.
    Cost: $50.

  • Infant/Child CPR Class  REGISTER ON-LINE
    Learn how to perform CPR, respond to choking and discuss related safety issues for infants or children. No written test required. Class space is limited. Cost $10 per family. 6 pm - 8 pm. 791-2318.  

  • Your Special Touch: Infant Massage   REGISTER ON-LINE  In this certified 3-week class that meets for 1-hour each week parents are taught to massage their baby. Infant massage helps to promote a nurturing between you and your baby that will help deepen your bond and attachment. Parents often find that their baby sleeps better, fusses less, and gains more weight when massaged regularly. Infant massage can help improve colic, excessive gas, and constipation. To participate, infants should be at least 4 weeks old and not yet crawling. The cost of the class is $60 and discounts of $30 are offered for families that participate in Your Special Delivery.

  • Super Sibling  REGISTER ON-LINE
    Designed to help children between the ages of 3-10 prepare for the arrival of your new baby. 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.    791-2318

  • Preparing for Hysterectomy  REGISTER ON-LINE
    Prepares you for upcoming surgery and teaches you how to take care of yourself afterwards. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. No cost. 791-2318.

  • Your Special Delivery  REGISTER ON-LINE
    A one session class designed to prepare you for the childbirth experience. Meets one Saturday per month from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Class space is limited, call 791-2318 to register. Cost: $50.

  • Caring for You and Your Baby  REGISTER ON-LINE
     Learn how to care for you and your baby after delivery. No cost. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.      791-2318

  • Tours for the Expectant Family  
    Tours of the labor and delivery, nursery and post-partum areas can be arranged by calling 803-791-BABY (2229) or registering on-line. Monday and Thursday tours are from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday tours are from 9:30 am. - 11:00 a.m. Please note that tours are included in "Your Special Delivery" and "Super Sibling" courses. No Cost.

    For those with chronic lung illness and asthma. 791-2621

  • Pulmonary Rehab 101
    A two-visit, outpatient program for adults with chronic lung disease and their families. 1-3 p.m. Pulmonary Rehab Classroom. 791-2621

  • Nutrition Counseling
    A registered dietitian will help you manage your illness or reduce your risk of illness with a personalized nutrition program. 791-2198 for more information.

  • Bariatric Support Group
    For those who have had gastric-bypass surgery and their families. Meets the first Wednesday of each month at LMP Auditorium, 6:00 p.m. 79

  • Columbia Help
    Support group for individuals dealing with Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). 781-5280

  • Memorial Services
    A service for the families of patients at LMC. Meets in LMP Auditorium, 2 pm. Contact Pastoral Care, 791-2901.

  • Cancer Support Group (Every Wednesday)
    For any cancer patient of LMC. Varied topics, refreshments. Come as you are - hospital gowns welcomed! Granby Room, 11:30 a.m. Call Chris Gibson, 939-8774.

  • Bereavement Support Group
    For those who have lost a loved one. Meets the first Thursday of each month. 791-2901.

  • US Too

  • Memories
    For parents who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or early newborn death. Meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. 791-2420.

  • Type 2 Diabetes Support Group

  • Columbia Parkinson Support Group
    For Parkinson's patients, caregivers, family members and others who are working in related fields or have an interest in Parkinson's disease. Meets in the Lexington Medical Center Auditorium at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the third Sunday of every month except for the month of June. Call Dottie Gantt at 803-604-0061.

  • Woman to Woman

  • Sexual Trauma Services
    Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands (STSM) is a private, non-profit, United Way member agency. STSM serves as a clinical, educational and outreach center for sexual abuse and trauma issues through a team of committed professionals and volunteers dedicated to the health and healing of the total victim through prevention, treatment, and advocacy. Services provided by the agency are free and confidential. STSM maintains a 24 Hour Crisis Line: 803-771-RAPE (7273).
